I would like to present a solution, which we, that is to say our partner IDAP and ourselves, IDS Scheer have developed for the medium-sized industry segment. Based on several publications on the internet, we wondered what we could do to provide optimised process support and an ideal one-stop product for medium-sized, metal productive and metal-working companies.
The result is an industry-sector specific solution portfolio which can be configured “to fit”, consisting of several different components that guarantee optimal support of all business transactions and production processes within the middle-sized metal productive und metal working industry. The portfolio covers the most essential requirements, as can be seen via the above mentioned link and can be implemented easily within a clear timeframe and for a fixed price, as required. The components are:
1. Software Solution for the Metal Industry
The solution developed by IDS Scheer and IDAP is completely aligned to the requirements of the medium-sized metal industry and can be integrated smoothly into existing environments of metal specific solutions (e.g. laboratory or weighing systems). All process areas are supported. The essential processes are clearly visualised by ARIS Express and can be rapidly adjusted to new requirements.
2. Software Licences
The solution developed by IDS Scheer and IDAP is based completely on SAP® ECC from SAP, the worldwide industrial standard for corporate software solutions, which is also successfully applied in small and medium sized businesses. A pre-existing SAP system can be used as a starting basis for the software solution for the metal industry.
3. Installation and System Operation
Our proposal, if required, takes into consideration the complete installation and initial operation of the system in its designated IT environment or in the IDS Scheer data center (sees also option 6).
4. Consulting Included
A typical scope of consulting for the system implementation including the necessary training, based on a clear, pragmatic process methodology, is also included. The exact scope of consulting services has been designed in collaboration with our customers and can be offered, just as with all other components of the solution portfolio, at a fixed price.
5. Support Hotline
To guarantee support when the system is in operation, IDS Scheer together with IDAP offers application management support (AMS). System users are supported skilfully from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 18:00 for all questions concerning the system.
6. Operation at the data center
As an alternative to owner run operations, we also provide operation support in IDS Scheer’s own data center. This includes all required hardware and operative systems as well as guaranteed failsafe operations with defined response and service times.
7. Leasing of the whole package
Together with a large and experienced partner of the financial services sector, IDS Scheer also provides the opportunity to lease the whole system package if desired. You can trust our ample experience resulting of many projects with our leasing partner.
