The contest is closed, the winners were announced already!
Every contest needs some basic rules to make up for a fair competition. The rules for the "Cooking with BPMN" contest within ARIS Community are as follows:
- Create an ARIS Express BPMN 2 model, which visualises your favourite cooking or cocktail recipe. Keep in mind the following points:
- Do not copy someone else's work.
- Respect the ARIS Community Guidelines (e.g. respect copyright and do not insult other people).
- Create a BPMN 2 model in ARIS Express.
- Submit your model till the 9th of April 2010 16:00 CET by uploading it to the "Cooking with BPMN" group within ARIS Community. The following points are important to consider:
- You must upload your model as ARIS Express file by creating a new "ARIS Express model" post.
- Add a description to your post so that people know what you are cooking ;-)
- Monitor the comments of your post, because we or others might ask questions about your contest entry.
- You are allowed to submit as many models as you want. However, every model must be significantly different. So don't submit the same or slightly altered model again.
- Every ARIS Community member is allowed to participate, including employees of IDS Scheer and Software AG. IDS Scheer might ban certain ARIS Community members from the contest to ensure fair competition.
- Submitted models will be removed by ARIS Community staff without further notice if they violate the contest rules or ARIS Community Guidelines. You will be informed by email about the reasons if your model was removed.
- Each submitted model is added to a list. Random numbers from Random.org are used to determine the winners. The following points are important:
- Participants can increase their chance to win by submitting several models.
- Each participant can only win once.
- The 3 winners will be announced till 16th of April 2010 and contacted by email. If contacting fails or shipment of the price to the winner is not possible (e.g. export restrictions), a new winner will be determined.
- Each winner will receive 1 copy of the book "BPMN 2.0 – Introduction to the Standard for Business Process Modeling" by Prof. Allweyer.
- There is no right to appeal.
- The following shall apply: the ARIS Community Guidelines, the Terms of Use and Terms and Conditions of ARIS Express.
I am curious to see if your ideas will manage my cookig abilities! ;-)
Have fun!
Nina
