Hi,

Our ARIS team is in UK and are facing problems accessing ARIS server located in the US. We access ARIS servers from UK through Web clients. The user is allowed to login to the database however when he/she tries to open any models the system throws an error "Connection to the server has been interrupted".

Initially we suspected server problems, however ARIS users in the US have no problems accessing the server. We restarted the server as well yet no improvement. So now we are suspecting this to be a network problem. However, no one else has reported any issues while accessing other servers in the US.

Please help us in identifying and resolving this problem. It would be a great help.

Regards,

Ninad Gokhale

Hi Ninad,

it seems that a problem occurs while the Designer is trying to load the fonts of a database. For a more detailed diagnosis we need the complete client and server logs.

So far you can try to create a new empty database and copy the models into that DB: can they now be opened? In addition you can have a look in the admin module in the database under "Font Formats" whether there is something looking strange (for example a huge set of fonts or something similar).

Regards

Ralf
