Hi All,
We are in the process of Upgrading ARIS 7.2 to ARIS 9.6.
We installed the design Server and migrate all the Methods, filters, semantic checks, Reports, Templates etc successfully in QA Server.
Now we are going to install the Business Publisher server.
Someone please explain whether we need to install the BP server in same QA environment (where we installed the Design server) or install the BP server in separate server.
If we install the BP server in separate server (Environment) then how can we connect the Design server and Business Publisher server.
Could you please explain in step by step. We are new to this Upgrade. we are going to meet the deadline.

Yes, I have installed the Business publisher 9.6 Successfully.
I have installed both ARIS Design server and BP server in Different Machine. After install the BP server, please follow the below steps to connect the Design and BP server.
Steps:
1.In Design Server Click ARIS > Administration.
2.Click Navigation in the bar panel if the Navigation bar is not activated yet.
3.In the explorer tree, click the folder Publish > Publisher Server and establish a connection to the ARIS Publisher Server.
Right Click the Publisher server and click Add server. The Wizard opens. Specify the server name or IP address where you have installed the BP server and check the Test connection.
4.Click the database.
5.Click Publish > Publisher export in the Start tab bar. The wizard opens.
6.Specify the relevant settings and click Finish.
7.After the procedure has terminated, change the status from locked to activated.
Only then the export available to users in the browser.
8.Enter the URL for ARIS Publisher Server in the address field of your browser, e.g., http://localhost:19990/businesspublisher, and log in again with your user name and password to check the export content.
