Hi Guys,

I'm new to process modelling and was wondering what is the difference between ARIS and Swimlanes, from what I have read ARIS is an event driven process chain while swimlanes is function driven?

Can anyone provide anymore details on this or any papers that might help me understand it better and what the difference is?

Thanks.

Hi,

first, please provide a realname. I don't want to talk to penguins...

We have various tutorials about the different notations supported by ARIS. For example, check this introduction to the EPC notation (event-driven process chain) by Ramona.

You can find several tutorials about the BPMN 2 notation (which is what you are referring to as swimlanes). Check the help page section about BPMN 2 for a list of recently published discussions.

Hi Sebastian,

Just wanted to know how do we use SWIM LANES on Aris Express.

Do we have an option to design a swim lane in the tool. If so please shed me some light on the same.
