Hello,

am new member of the community. Take this opportunity to congratulate the organizers!

I believe my problem has been addressed here. I use version 7.1 of ARIS and my client uses version 7.02. The problem is that my client can not read the database I generate. Through XML is not possible as well.

Someone who has faced this kind of problem can help me?

Thank you!

Dear Rodrigo,

between ARIS 7.02 and 7.1 was a major release change. This means that you cannot exchange in a completely free way data between the two versions. There were changes on method and on database schema level which avoid the compatibility.

It is no problem to bring data from 7.02 to 7.1 because our versions are backward compatible. But there is no feasible way to bring back data from ARIS 7.1 to 7.02. The only only recommendation we can give is to use the same ARIS version with all involved persons.

Regards

Uwe

Hello Christophe,

the XML import will be started on the main group in the explorer. Context menu "Import - XML files... ".

Hello Christophe,

what product are you using? The XML import/export is only available in our Architects (ARIS Business Architect, ARIS IT Architect, ARIS SOA Architect, ...). The functionality is not part of our Designer products (ARIS Business Designer, ARIS IT Designer, ARIS SOA Designer, ...).

So only if you use an ARIS xxx Architect 7.02 you can export the XML format and only with ARIS xxx Architect 7.1 you are able to import. ARIS Express is not able to import these XML files!

Regards

Uwe
