Good morning friends "I love BPM"

I have a small problem. I created a database on a computer with ARIS in Portuguese language. When I use this same database on another computer (with ARIS in English), various objects have lost the text, the properties ... I can simply change the language, but maybe I'll have a problem when you export / import this database into other bodies?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Hello Rodrigo,

I assume you talk about export/import between different ARIS databases or servers. In this case there is no problem, because or XML import/export cares for different languages, so nothing will get lost. If you start the XML export in ARIS at the second step you will be asked in what languages the attributes shall be exported.

Regards

Uwe

Perfect your answer to half of my problem. The second part is about the information that you've lost. To me explain better, please know that I made a backup of the database in a particular language, and then did a restore of that database in another language. So I lost the data. I would like to know how to retrieve them.

Thank you!

Hello Rodrigo,

I'm not sure if I understand you use case. The best way to backup a database is to use the backup/restore functionality available on a database item in ARIS Explorer. With this functionality nothing gets lost.

Or did you the backup on another way? But why did you backup in one language and restore in another? I think if I know more about your use case I can give you better support to reach your goals.

Best regards

Uwe

Hello Uwe,

actually was exactly what you quoted. I did a backup and restore language to another.

My problem was already solved, just do not ask me how .. : <)

I changed the language and then went back to the previous, and the information appeared again.

Thanks again!
