Hi, dear ARIS Comminity people!

I have been working hard these days.

Let me inform you that by now I've completed my first model named 'Performing the assessment of poor quality costs in an organization'. After I had been running the semantic rules check, system informed me about the bug with following inscription: "Error: This start event violates the following rule: If a process uses objects of type 'Start event', at least one object of type 'End event' is required (Rules for a BPMN diagram, BPMN 2.0".

This bug is supposed to be caused by my model doesn't having the kind of links required at the third level of the process landscape.

I have a favor to ask you.

Could you please give me the hint on how to solve the above mentioned issue?

My licence for product ARIS Cloud Basic Viewer of project room snb1953 will expire on 2021-12-27. I would like to merge all the objects in my model, which belong to process landscape, into one chain and then save the model in PDF format. Is it possible to make that plan peal?

I would appreciate your efforts to solve this issue as soon as possible.

If some additional information is required, please do not hesitate to be in touch with me by email: sergbalabanov53@gmail.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards,

Sergey Balabanov

Your BPMN model seems to be lacking an end event.

Demonstrating this with a very simply example, the semantic check encountered something like this:

But according to the BPMN standard you need at least one end event, if there is a start event. The semantic check will not complain anymore, after such an end event has been added:

This should work in your case as well.

As for the PDF output, ARIS Basic offers various reports that allow you to output model graphics as PDF, such as "Export graphic as a PDF (with preview)", "Output model information" or "Create process manual". Just pick the one that suits you best.

Note: If you do a multi-select in the explorer, you actually don't have to put everything into one model. The report "Export graphic as a PDF (with preview", for example, is also capabable of putting multiple models into one PDF file with each getting its own page.

Thanks for your explaination and advice what I should do to avoid the appearance of complaint after semantic check in ARIS-system has been done.

1. I designed my model that has several object, and every object consists of the elements which are standing took turns until the process is over. Should I insert the element 'end event' at the end of the process for first object?

2. Whether two elements named 'start event' and 'end event' should be located or not in each of the processes for every remaining objects?

I pay your attention  that at present the element named 'start event' has been placed by me at the beginning of the process for first object, and the element named 'end event' has been located only at the end of the last object.

Hi, I continued to work hard over the weekend and managed to correct errors in the objects included in the model, as well as save the images of processes in PDF format.

I'm very grateful for your assistance.
