ARIS Support,

On page 483 of the Business Process Modeling with ARIS practical guide, there is a example guide sheet that is very difficult to read.

It's Figure 20.1 Example Guide Sheet titled:

"Guide Sheet Process Capture with ARIS"

How can I obtain a readable copy of this guide sheet?

Thanks!

Jim

Dear Jim,

I almost thought I couldn't help much, because that book hab been published in 2001 by Rob Davis while he was working at British Telecom in the UK, a long-term ARIS customer.

And that particular graphic is neither readable in that book nor in his second book, a kind of successor, ARIS Design Platform: Getting Started with BPM, published back in 2007.

And you don't miss much. It's a simple "cheat sheet" what needs to be considered when modeling processes, like the ARIS Express quick reference or this ARIS Quick Modeling Guide.

Such documents and typically belong too much larger/longer modeling conventions, a document defining which parts of the broad ARIS method can be used in a process modeling project, such as model types, object types, connection types, symbol types etc.

If you need assistance to compile your modeling conventions, please feel to contact the Global Consulting Services of Software AG. E.g. one outcome of Prime for Business Process Analysis would be a modeling conventions tailored to your needs, in order that every modeler would create processes the same way as well as all process consumers would "read" and understand them.

The best at last: Out of more than 50,000 slide decks I found that graphic, even colored and scalable in the original PPT file as embedded Word document:

The above graphic is also attached below this article.

Have fun!

Cheers

Rune

Hi,

I need a sound cookbook to teach me the nuts and bolts of ARIS BPM especially with respect to simulation.

I am completely new to ARIS BPM and I want learn from scratch to advanced so that I can teach my students.

How do I locate the training materials that I am supposed to have access to as an instructor?

Thanks.
