Hi all ,

I have a question about the possibility to upload the  MS Visio files format  ( BPMN /EPC) into ARIS.

I want to start working with designing the process until they finish the implementation and setup ARIS into our servers so what is the best practise uploading our work after finish setup the solution??

Hi,

an honest straightforward answer: If they are already in the course of setting up ARIS and you don't already have tons of EPC or BPMN pictures in Visio: Don't waste your time starting them. At least not with the expectation to be able to import that seamlessly. Wait a week until everything is set up and then go for the real thing. Otherwise you might spend weeks figuring out a configuration to map your Visio stencils to ARIS objects. Rather use the week to learn and contribute to setting up your ARIS method. Formulate your expectations, what should be modelled in your context. This will be much more valuable than anything else. Maybe use Visio to illustrate what types of models and objects you have in mind in order to prove the concept.

Best regards, M. Zschuckelt
