Hello,

We have a unique problem -

Last year, we moved all the FAD models from across folders that they got created in through Satellite modelling to a common folder called ' All FAD Folder'.

Now the decision is to move them back to where there respective Parent models lie.

How do we find where the Parent BPMN Process models are to which these FADs would belong to?

Please help - any recommendation is much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

the FADs describe a function (or activity) and this activity can be placed in may models... therefore, there is most likely in many cases not one single bpmn process used.

However, you need the have a look at the function in the FAD. You can check where these functions have occurrences.

These a the models you search, and you can move the FAD to the group of this process model.

This is quite some effort... a report for this would be what you are looking for.

Bye,

Frank

Hi Frank,

while it is technically correct, in practice FADs to Tasks of BPMN process models should be easily located: Usually you only have only two occurrences of a task: One in the BPMN process model and one in the FAD. If you have more occurrences one might reconsider the method.

So I agree with you: Sorting out the mess should be possible quite efficiently by wrinting a report, which moves the FAD to the group where the task occurs in a BPMN model. Remember to take the function object with you, if that was moved together with the FAD.
