Hello
The .adf files in Sharepoint (not MOSS) do not show with the ARIS Express icon. Nor is ARIS Express launched when clicking on the .adf file, although ARIS Express is a registered program on my Windows XP client. I am wondering if someone came across a solution to make the ARIS Express files management more comfortable under Sharepoint. Thanks & Best Regards,

I've been lazy searchin' the internet...
This article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms463701.aspx describes how to manage additional program extensions in Sharepoint using docIcon.xml. I have asked the Sharepoint admin to look at it.
Hello Mr.Caro!
Did your solution work? We have the same problem an we are looking for a solution.

I can't say: our Sharepoint admin was reluctant to implement the "Edit" with a direct Check-out/Check-in like for other Office documents. We hope to get it one day. Has anyone get it to work ?
We got it to work! We have insert the row <Mapping Key="adf" Value="ictxt.gif"/> under the point <ByExtension> in the docicon.xml file and it works. We have no aris gif so we use the txt gif but that makes no difference I think.
Maybe it works for you, too.
Thanks for sharing your solution. If you still search for icons here is a reward:
Thank you for the icons!
Hello,
So, with your solution it is now possible to open a adf-file with IE8 directly, or do you still have to save it before ?
Or is it just for the correct icon in Sharepoint ?
Hello!
With my solution it is possible to open adf-files with IE8 directly. We don´t have to save them before and it works fine. If you need more information just ask.
