Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has come across this issue in datafeed for ARIS Aware when using ARIS queries as data source?

JBPMZCE0389 - Unable to load resources, JBPMZCE0125 read timed out

I can get parameters and columns of the query in the datafeed editor, so connection is fine. But when I specify a start item for the query, this error is shown. It is a large query but it runs fine in ARIS Architect.

If you already had this issue, how did you solve it?

I am also wondering if there is any parameters that can be defined in Dashboarding runnable to specify a longer time before time out?

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Tanguy

Hello Tanguy,

So, the read time out option is set to 10 seconds. In some cases (depends on the complexity of the query) it is not possible to prepare data in 10 seconds.

There are some options how to solve the issue:

- try to simplify the query if possible

- if you are using version 10 SR3 and up, you can increase read time out

Does anyone know where the actual configuration item to adjust timeout is?  It does not seem to be documented anywhere I can find.

Hello,

to change the timeout for a ARIS Table request in the dashboarding you have two choices:

1) Change the settings directly in the corresponding file:

a. Open exec.xml file from "<InstDir>\server\bin\agentLocalRepo\.unpacked\<date>.<version>_dashboarding-run-prod-<version>-runnable.zip"

b. Find the string: <target name="run" depends="init">

c. Add a sysproperty: <sysproperty key="com.softwareag.TABLE.timeout" value="50000"/> - 50000 is 50 sec, You can put there value what you need e.g 5 minutes is 300000

d. After the change you have to stop dashboarding (stop dashboarding_<s,m,l>) with ACC and to restart dashboarding (start dashboarding_<s,m,l>) with ACC again.

2) Change the settings via reconfigure command:

Simply run this ACC command:

reconfigure dashboarding_m +JAVA-Dcom.softwareag.TABLE.timeout="30000"

Please keep in mind, in both cases the dashboard runnable needs to restarted, the changes needs to be done each node where dashboard runnable is used.

BR,

Bernd
