Hello,

I created assignments at task level in my Process diagram. However, I wanted to know if you can create assignments on a an event. For example, I want the end state of one process flow to link to another process flow. Is that possible? In other words, is there an Event that does a 'jump' from one process diagram to another?

Thanks,

Uma

Dear Uma,

Did you review our example database United Motor Group, where several EPCs are connected to each other via the symbol Process interface along the value chain. Search for Sales order processing.

Cheers

Thanks Rune. How do I get access to this sample UMG database? Can I get to this via the ARIS designer Help button or from somewhere else?

Just to make sure we are on the right page, I have made assignments for many Task/Activity modules that take me to other process models. However, I want an end process to 'link' another process.

Dear Uma,

That database can be found on the ARIS DVD which you could download from the ARIS Download Center.

However, since KPMG is using a customized ARIS Connect, I guess it's better to get in contact with your ARIS support team. I know Ellen Pelletier: It's upon that team to add sample databases to your installation. Maybe they did remove UMG for good reasons but added other examples, fitting better to KPMG's methodoloy.

I would also like to recommend you looking our for modeling conventions, which typically outline techniques to design comprehensible ARIS models.

Cheers

Wonderful Rune! Thanks for your help. I too thought that this might be because we had a customized ARIS connect version. Wanted to confirm. I will connect with Ellen for further questions.

Thanks,

Uma
