Is there any way to report on ARIS Cloud database metrics such as:
- Number of Models
- Type of Model
- Model Owner
- Last Update Date
I realize this information is available for each model but is there a way to create a report for an entire database such that the report "walks down" the entire database hierarchy?
We are using ARIS Cloud Advanced Edition and we have some reporting capabilities in the ARIS Cloud Administration application (a limited version of Designer / Architect).
Hi Michael
You are right The standard reports of ARIS Cloud Advanced cannot be started for all models in one step or evaluate the database content. You could create your own report via the report wizard.
But it's possible to output the database statistics via 'right mouse button' on the database name -->'database statistics'

Thanks for the feedback. I could not find how to display the "database statistics" as your reply indicated. I searched for the function in the ARIS Cloud Advanced browser application (main application and administrator screens) as well as the ARIS Cloud Administration application (limited version of Designer / Architect). Where exactly would I right-click to access the "database statistics" function?

I have JRE version 8 update 121 (Release date January 17, 2017) installed on my computer. I am running version 9.8 of the ARIS Architect/Designer (a.k.a., ARIS Cloud Admin for ARIS Cloud Advanced). Please find attached additional configuration files.

Hi Mike.
Yes. I tested it successfully here with my ARIS Cloud,
What browser in what version do you use?
You could do the following:
Close the ARIS Cloud Admin
Remove content of folder
%userprofile%ARIS90
e.g. C:\Users\<your user>\ARIS90
Download the ARIS Cloud Admin again
If the effect still occurs, the log files from folder could help on
content of folder
%userprofile%ARIS90/log
Maybe you could send these details to the Global Support of Software AG via an empower ticket
Best regards

I removed and re-installed the ARIS Cloud Admin Java application as you recommended. However I am confused why you asked which browser I am using since the ARIS Cloud Admin application I'm using is a Java application. Is the feature you are describing in the browser admin menu of ARIS Cloud Advanced application (i.e., "ARIS Connect") or in the Java admin application (ARIS Designer/Architect)?
For what it's worth, I am using the latest Java runtime VM (version 8 update 121). For browsers I use the latest editions of IE (v11.0.31), Firefox (v51.0.1 64-bit) and Chrome (v55.0.2883.87 m).
I am also curious what the report looks like that is generated by the Database Statistics function. If possible, could you or someone else on this forum run the Database Statistics function on the United Motors Group demo database and attach the report? I'm just trying to see if this function is worth the effort to get it to work.
FYI, I also created an incident on the empower portal. I received the same recommendation as you provided.
Thanks again for your feedback.

All:
To wrap up this discussion...
It was determined that the U.S. version of ARIS Cloud did not support the database statistics admin function; however, due to a "bug", the European version did (at least until the bug was "fixed"). I was able to give Software AG temporary access to run the database statistics "report". For those interested, a listing of the fields in the "database statistics" admin function are shown on the attached file.
