Hello,
Since our previous University license for ARIS Business Architect 7.2 (with LOCAL database) has expired I need to install ARIS Client 9.7 (ver. 9.7. 958093) - modeling and simulation modules on the computers in our Lab. Unfortunately, the installation is interrupted permanently, giving the following message (translation error text from Polish): "There is error during installation "modelling" component.More information can be found in file '%temp/ARIS_Install.log'. OS is Win 7 Professional, 64-bit version. Please find an "ARIS_install.log_.txt" file registered during the last installation process. Can anybody help me to resolve the problem? Best Regards. Piotr
Dear Piotr,
There could be many reasons for failed installation, first of all did you meet the pre requisites for installation (in terms of free memory, RAM..)
A log file would best figure out the root cause of failure, could u please share your log file to be able zero out on the problem.
Thanks,
ZZ.
Hi Zeeshan.
Thank you for your very much for your opinion on my installation problem.
From my point all requirements suggested by ARIS producers are met. As far as log file is concerned - it is attached to my primary post. Could you please take a look?
Regards.
Piotr
Dear Piotr, \
Apologies for delay
I understand from your log file, some runnables are installed ranging from (zoo to UMC) whereas abs, apg, copernicus, octopus are in failed state(Hope u viewed this via ACC).
From my experience in ARIS, we can resolve these issues even if the installation results in problems
I would suggest you to killall the runnables and then start each runnable
If still runnables are failing or are in starting state, do check their individual log file of each runnable, this explains clearly where the issues are.
Thanks,
ZZ.
Dear Christian,
Unlike Piotr I understand from your log file only 4 runnables are installed whereas PIotr had other runnables failed, in your case I would suggest you to re install and then check for it(this is the quickest and easy way to resolve, to resolve on the same instance I need to personally look in to each log file which wouldn't suffice the need here).
May be someone from Software AG should have a better solution.
Let me know after re-installation if the issue still persists.
Thanks,
ZZ
