Hi,

I have problem with "SAP Business Server7.1 by IDS Scheer".

When I try to connect to the server from "ARIS Site Administrator 7.1", I receive an error message:

"Unable to generate database list of the "ArisServer" server".

When I try to connect from “ARIS Business Designer”, I receive an error message:

"unable to connect to server. There is no service available for the port you specified".

This problem has appeared this morning. Still yesterday all worked perfectly. I tried to make rollback on obviously working copy of the server and have received the same errors.

In attach you can see the screenshots.

How I must solve it?

Thanks.

The services must be down. Try to restart the services for the ARIS Business Server and restart the server.

I have this problem too. But my database is Oracle10g.

When I try restart the services for the ARIS Business Server and restart the server, then problem has yet to appear.

Is there a way to solve the problem?

Many thanks and best regards,

pat

Hi pat koo,

The firts screen is a connection port problem from client to Aris Server.

The Aris application run on port 160**.

Verify with your infra-estructure area to allow the connection to this ports (160**, eg: 16070)

How to verify the Aris correct ports - Server App(1st screen):

On Windows:

Start > run > cmd

execute this command:

netstat -na | findstr 160

On Linux (shell prompt):

netstat -na | grep 160

You will get some like this:

[root@xpto~]# netstat -na | grep 160

tcp        0      0 :::16070                    :::*                        LISTEN

tcp        0      0 :::16071                    :::*                        LISTEN

tcp        0      0 :::16073                    :::*                        LISTEN

tcp        0      0 :::16080                    :::*                        LISTEN

The numbers 1607* are the ports of Aris App Server, and must be allowed on firewall, case this exists.

The 2st screen I dont have no idea.

Regards,

Abdon

Hi

Even I am having same problem. Successfully added server to my ARIS Business Architecture for SAP 7.1. But while accessing it through following error message - 'Unable to connect to server.There is no service available for the Port you specified'. I have connected to server administration and he has provided all required access and other people in my team can connect to this server.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Prabhat

I had the same problem but with Business Server 7.2 and I've solved in this way:

start>run>services.msc

then:

ARIS Business Server 7.2>start

Problem fixed.

Hi Henri,

Yes, the problem was resolved by corrections in license key in "server\config\userServerSettings.cfg" file.
