Place fragment

You can use fragments to easily place arrangements of objects, connections, graphic objects, and groupings in a model.

Procedure

  1. In the Fragments pane, click on the fragment you want to place.
  2. Move the mouse pointer to the position in the model window at which you want to place the fragment. The model window provides you with a preview of the arrangement of objects in the fragment to show you how much room the fragment items will take up in the model.
  3. Click on the desired position in the model window.

The fragment items are placed in the model. The item names match the names you assigned to the original items.

Tip

To place the same fragment multiple times, hold down the Ctrl key, and click on the desired places one after the other.
