Good morning,

I have seen the new release of Aris, and I tried to use the new feature.

I tried to download the Client to experiment the new possibility about conslidate object.

I can do the download of PLADMIN as I used to do and it works, but when I launch it, it runs and at the nothing appears. I also tried to change browser but it doesn't work (the client windows doesn't open).

Can you help me ?

Hi Lucia,

That is not a bug, it is a feature. You need to go to your ARIS10 folder c:\%Users%\%Your_user%\ARIS10 and manually delete the folder with that old version (you will recognize it by your room name). You can zip it for just in case, but no one faces any issue after its deletion. Then you also need to delete the folder:

 c:\%Users%\%Your_user%\ARIS10\downloadclient\eu2a.ariscloud.com_443 

Also, zip it for just in case, but nothing will happen. Then go through that new 'amazing' login process - log to the portal, download the client, and everything will work.

I would like to ask you something else; I need to do a consolidation between two Position, but I can't find the feature in ARis cloud, I made several time in Aris Architect on premise so I know very how to manage it, but I am not able to see the object in tha adminiustration and consequently the correct path to do this.

Hi,

You've logged in as Administrator, I believe you use that PLADMIN, that is why you cannot see it.

Some clients reported, that since the SR24 update, they dropped all the license assignments, e.g. you was previously assigned for Architect, but now you have only Designer and Administration. So you need to go into Administration on the portal and add Architect to your user (see screenshot).

It looks like you have a free/demo account. They just recently (since the SR24 update) took Architect from demo/real accounts, which is a real surprise to me.

I have a standard licence (ARIS CLOUD ADVANCED), so I don't understan why I am not allowed to do some activities.

Unfortunately, if you registered after SR24 update happened, then you should know that SAG took Architect from the Advanced subscription for new customers. It happened somewhere on the 20th of November. So yeah, by other words - there is no more Architect in the Advanced... 

Now you could have Architect only in Enterprise...

this is a serious issue! I am an Aris Client since 2008 and I created some specific Model that I can't no more see????? this is crazy, when I click on the assignement the system says that I have no privileges to drill down to that model. This unaccettable
