Hi Dinesh,

this error

occurs when you start a synchronisation on structure node of the project A and

you select inside the synchronisation dialog another project then A.

This means the project which you select inside the synchronisation dialog have

to be fit with project which the structure node you start to synchronize belongs to. You can check

this with the attribute "Synchronisation Project" from the structure node

Best regards,

Sascha

Hello,

this is a nice topic.

My problem is to sync an ARIS Project back to another solman project. In this topic you show that the synchronisation projects must be the same. But are there any possibilities to sync it back to another project?

This is my scenario:

Solman project "Test 1" >> ARIS >> project "Test 2"

Someone explaind me to delete the SAP-ID of all objects an processes. I did it but the error is still the same.

Please help me, it is very important for me!

Hi Sebastian,

It is right if you remove all the SAP IDs of the functions and the models (VAC, EPC, FAD) then is should be possible to synch without errors - maybe you forgot to remove the ID's from the models.

It seems that you want to copy a project, why do not  you make a copy of the projekt inside the SolMan and synch it to ARIS?

Best regards

Sascha

Thank you for your reply Sascha,

Yes your idea is good. Since the first transfer of data to ARIS all objects contain the attribute "project name" or project-id", id don't know the exact name. If i sync it with the new project it should be the same and work.

I got the advice to delete the synch object to SolMan so it looks like i have never synched. But if I delete it i cant sync anymore.

In the next days i will try to transfer the data of my new project to ARIS and delete the old synch object as you told me. Than i will delete all new objects referring to the new project an copy the new synch object to the old SolMan data. I hope your idea works!

Thank you!

Hi Sascha,

Do you know If I remove all the SAP ID from my process on ARIS and synchronize to SOLMAN, the existing model on SOLMAN will be kept? Or could be deleted during this activity?

There's an existing structure on SOLMAN, with documents attached,  and I can not lose them.

best regards,

Juliana

Hello again,

now the synchronization works. But not as i wanted it to work. It is only syncing the new objects and my new ARIS objects.

I deletet the sync object of my old project and synced it inital with my new one.

The problem is this:

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/1686/arisattribut2.png

http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/1395/arisattribut.png

The first picture shows my new project. The Sync Project is here BA_SES_V3. The second pircture is my old project BA_SES_V1. As you can see it is greyed out, so i can't change it!

When i start the sync of my new project it only transfers the data belonging to the new project. But there are no data because i want to copy the old data to the new project. So in SolMan my blueprint is empy.

But i want to sync all models with sync project attribute BA_SES_V1 to the solman project BA_SES_V3.

Can you ore someone else give me an advice how to do it? Please help my, already i am the opinion that it isn't possible,?

Thank you!

Hi Sascha,

I've got two issues during SolMan and needed your advise.

1. I've synced my process structure into SolMan. In SolMan I've added a new process step with the relevant transaction and logical component maintained in the "Transactions" and "Structure" tab. Now when I transfer from SolMan to ARIS, I'm unable to see this new transaction in the corresponding ARIS model.

2. I've added a word document under the Process and Process Step node in SolMan. When I sync from SolMan to ARIS I'm unable to see the SAP documentation objects. I've logged into the ARIS DB using "Entire Method" filter. I'm not sure as to why this is happening.

We're running ARIS 7.1.0.333379 and SolMan 7.1. Is there any synchronisation issue between these two versions?

Cheers

Ganesh
