I have a client who wants to process the file below. His data feed return for every colum two values. so i am guessing there needs to be some sort of mapping as what is the column name what is the vlaue field and what makes a new row.

How do I do this? Any examples or docs around this?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

- <output> - <RESULT>   <ORDER_TYPE>ORDERS COMPLETE</ORDER_TYPE>   <COUNT>2</COUNT>   </RESULT> - <RESULT>   <ORDER_TYPE>ORDERS CONTROLLED</ORDER_TYPE>   <COUNT>1</COUNT>   </RESULT> - <RESULT>   <ORDER_TYPE>ORDERS CREDIT</ORDER_TYPE>   <COUNT>0</COUNT>   </RESULT> - <RESULT>   <ORDER_TYPE>ORDERS PRICING</ORDER_TYPE>   <COUNT>1</COUNT>   </RESULT> - <RESULT>   <ORDER_TYPE>TOTAL SALES ORDERS</ORDER_TYPE>   <COUNT>12</COUNT>   </RESULT>   </output>

Hello Phil,

this is actually quite easy with the XML source operator. All you have to do is specify the file and the repeat element:

/output/RESULT

The XML source operator then recognizes the number of columns and even tries to guess their respective datatype.

Works like a charm, thank you.

Hi all, I have a XML exported from a transaction system.  It does not contain the usual header, viz xml version no nor the encoding details.  A portion of it is given below.  How do I use this in ARIS MASHZONE.   Thanks   KRISH     - <ENVELOPE> - <DSPACCNAME>   <DSPDISPNAME>Direct Incomes</DSPDISPNAME>   </DSPACCNAME> - <PLAMT>   <PLSUBAMT />   <BSMAINAMT>85000.00</BSMAINAMT>   </PLAMT> - <BSNAME> - <DSPACCNAME>   <DSPDISPNAME>Professional Fees</DSPDISPNAME>   </DSPACCNAME>   </BSNAME> - <BSAMT>   <BSSUBAMT>50000.00</BSSUBAMT>   <BSMAINAMT />   </BSAMT> + <BSNAME>

Hello Krish,

I'm afraid that I cannot really see what you expect (column- and row-wise) from the snippet you posted. The snippet is not well-formed (maybe there is something relevant behind the "+").

MashZone can read XML files with or without header, so that should not concern you.

Please provide some more information: What columns do you expect, and which data should they contain?
