is there a definative statement available of what the difference between a process model is and what a process map is

Process Model is a process defined using a definitive tool and methodology and Process Map is general.. so could be in visio, word etc.

Just guessing....

hi Rob,

I guess ..

Process model describes activities flow. It could be done using BPMN, EPC or an other modelling notation (e.g handle customer order process). Process Map describes relation between processes and provides a higher view of how processes are interconnected. (e.g Sales processes)
