Is there a quick way to sort already modeled objects in a process alphabetically?
My Situtation:
I have created many objects in a library in Aris Architect using "F8" properties. Within the "F8" window, the objects are sorted alphabetically, but when confirming the entries, the objects are no longer sorted alphabetically in the process.
Is it therefore possible to sort and display already modeled objects alphabetically in Aris? Is there also a possibility to create many objects in the ARIS Cloud (SR24) and insert the attributes, e.g. from Excel, via copy and paste?
Dear Stephan,
The attribute window (accessible in ARIS Architect via F8 key) doesn't use the position of object occurrences in a model. ARIS doesn't offer a standard report script to sort objects in a model alphabeticaly, but I found this article which might help: Sorting objects using reports | ARIS BPM Community (ariscommunity.com)
As for your question about creating many objects at once you could watch How to create object from various sources | ARIS BPM Community (ariscommunity.com). That video shows how you can easily copy a table of objects from an HTML or Word file and paste them into your ARIS repository.

Hello Stephan,
if you want to re-arrange object occurrences in a model by alphabetical order this macro by Adnan Shahab could be helpful. AFAIK it was made for Architect 7.2 but seems to work on Aris 10 if you take Veronika's word

Hi Martin,
I would like to add one comment concerning the prerequisites:
- it only sorts objects that have a value in the respective language that you want to sort; empty objects remain untouched and will remain at the same place.
- make sure to define the sorting language as the order, of course, depends on the language
The macro can be run multiple times.
Best,
Veronika
